My basic therapeutic approach is solution-focused therapy. I believe that our conflict arises from how we are interacting with our environment.  I will assist you to look at your world from a holistic perspective, allowing you a feeling of looking inside your own world from the outside to get a different perspective of how approach situations.

During a therapy session I will incorporate various psychological approaches varying from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, Client Centered, Visualization, and Meditation. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

David Z. Pfeffer is a graduate of Long Island University/C.W. Post Campus where he attained a degree in Psychology, and Florida Atlantic University, completing his Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Elder Social Work and Family Care. David is an Alumni of the Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society. 

I have worked in the Florida Social Service Field for the past 6 years.  During this time I have worked at Children's home society as a Family Intervention Counselor with families who were in need of case management and supportive counseling

services.  In addition I have worked at Children's Home Society as the Intake Coordinator for three of Broward County's in home counseling programs.

Currently in addition to serving counseling I work part time with a home health agency in Palm Beach County assisting homebound seniors, to be linked with community resources and short term counseling.
